Very fine weave and an incredibly pliable texture that handles like a tapestry yet, it has ample weight to lay nicely on the floor. These carpets are very seldom available any more and make a wonderful addition to any home or collection. The wool feels like the best Shirvan carpets with a color palette to match and a Turkoman inspired design. With all the movement of people caused by political changes, this was probably woven by a Turkoman woman living in South Eastern Azerbaijan. All wool pile, warp and weft.
